Number one, jilbaab is not just about ‘modesty’, it’s about doing what Allaah commands you have to do. You can be modest without covering your hair and you can be immodest in a niqaab.
2. Be cautious of judging the way other Muslim girls dress and act. It has nothing to do with you. Anyway, they might actually be much better than you.
3. Jilbaab will increase your good deeds but it is not the be all and end all of your deen. Just another good thing to do.
4. It doesn’t matter how you dress with jilbaab as long as you are confident and nice, people will like and respect you. And if they don’t, it’s not your problem.
5. Be nice.
Some of retailers now sell a good quality of Abaya, which is hijabi should wear it as an outer to cover their awrah (and must be done properly). For your information, be careful to choose our outfit! It’s such a shame; we have often forgotten the real hijab and it’s purpose; to cover our modesty and protect us.
Under the abaya
We can use anything under the abaya, such as tshirt with skirt or denim long pants.
A simple daily outer can worn as an abaya also, as long as your khimaar (kerudung) is long covering your body shape.
